WyoLotto Player Wins Big with $40,000 Powerball Ticket

James, a mine worker from Moorcroft, didn’t initially know he had struck it rich in the latest WyoLotto™ Powerball® drawing held on June 24th. It wasn’t until he remembered he had purchased a ticket, and spent a few tense moments searching for it, that he confirmed he held the winning $40,000 ticket.

James plays WyoLotto from time to time, but the Powerball ticket represents his biggest win. Although he doesn’t have any definite plans for his prize, he’s certain he’ll use some of the winnings to spoil his children.

Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 8:59 p.m. Ticket sales close at 7:59 p.m.

With Mega Millions®, Powerball, and Wyoming’s own Cowboy Draw™, WyoLotto is on a summer winning streak that heats up with every new draw. So far, 501,823 WyoLotto players have won a total of $4,667,273 since the launch of the lottery in August 2014.

With the addition of Cowboy Draw, WyoLotto players have more chances to win a jackpot! The Cowboy Draw jackpot is now at $350,000, the Mega Millions jackpot is now at an estimated $106 million, and the Powerball jackpot is now at an estimated $50 million.

To find out if you have won, check your numbers online at wyolotto.com, take your ticket to any official WyoLotto retailer, or call toll free to 1-855-995-6886 (855-WY-LOTTO).  Players can also subscribe to receive WyoLotto winning numbers notifications by email.
