Mega Millions® is Getting an Upgrade

On October 28th, 2017 Mega Millions will get a facelift with higher jackpots, better payouts, and a new way to play called “Just the Jackpot!”

What you can expect to change:

  • Jackpots will start at $40 million, where they have been $15 million. Larger jackpots mean bigger winnings!
  • The game will be $2 to play, and you can add the $1 Megaplier® to increase your winnings 2x, 3x, 4x, or even up to 5x!
  • The game has a new feature called “Just the Jackpot,” a new way to win it all! Skip the smaller prizes  for $3 and get two Quick Picks to go big or go home.
  • Cash prizes are increasing! Prize tiers will go up and your odds to win them increases too!.

Mega Millions® is a multi-state lottery game with jackpots that start at $15 million. The jackpot grows by at least $5 million per draw each time the jackpot rolls. 2: Pick Your Numbers

Just ask the clerk for a Mega Millions Quick Pick. Or, mark the QP box on your playslip and the ticket terminal will generate random numbers for you.
You can purchase up to five plays on a single playslip. Mark your numbers with a pencil or blue or black ink. If you make a mistake, mark the VOID box. DO NOT ERASE.


Choose Megaplier and you a can increase your winnings for just an extra $1 per play. (jackpot excluded).



Play the same numbers for 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, or 20 consecutive drawings by marking the Multidraw box.

3: Buy

Give your playslip and $1 for each play (plus $1 for each Megaplier you select) to the store clerk to receive a Mega Millions ticket. Your ticket is your receipt. It displays your numbers for each play, the date of the drawing and the dollar amount you paid. Please confirm the accuracy of your number picks. Mega Millions sales are final and tickets cannot be cancelled.


4: Sign Your Ticket

Your ticket is your property, sign it. Payment of any prize shall be made as directed by the person(s) whose signature(s) appear on the back of the ticket. The Wyoming Lottery is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets prior to redemption.

5: Check Your Numbers

Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at 9:00 p.m. MT.  Ticket sales close at 8:00 p.m. MT

  • Take your ticket to a WyoLotto retailer*
  • Sign up at wyolotto.com to have unofficial winning numbers sent directly to your phone or email
  • Visit the WyoLotto website at wyolotto.com
  • Check your local newspaper to see if they post winning numbers

6: Claim Your Prize


If you’re a winner, you can claim prizes up to $599 at any WyoLotto retailer or the Wyoming Lottery office. Prizes $600 and over and jackpots must be claimed at the Wyoming Lottery headquarters or by mail.
