First things first! Flip your ticket over and enter your name, address, phone number, and signature so only YOU can claim your prize.

If your prize is less than $599

Claiming your prize is easy! Take your signed winning ticket to any WyoLotto® retailer. Or, you can mail your signed winning ticket to The Wyoming Lottery, 1620 Central Ave, Suite 100, Cheyenne, WY 82001. All mailed claims will be processed within 2-3 weeks.

If your prize is $600 or more

What!? Congrats! Because you are what we call a “high tier winner,” we’ll need a couple of extra documents to help you claim your prize. You can mail the items listed below to our office* or make an appointment to bring them in person. All mailed claims will be processed within 2-3 weeks.

*Any prize of $50,000 or more must be claimed in person.

Step 1. Gather your documents

Winner claim form

All high-tier winners need to submit a claim form with their winning ticket.

Photo ID

Please bring a license, passport, or other form of ID with your name and photo.

Social security card

We will need to see your social security card, a W2, or another government-issued form with your name and full social security number.

Winning ticket

The best part! Your signed winning ticket is the final key to claiming your cash prize! If multiple people sign the ticket, WyoLotto will split the winnings evenly between all parties who sign.

To claim prizes of $600 or more by mail, include copies of your official photo ID and your social security card along with your claim form and winning ticket.

Common questions about winning

Prizes must be claimed by the person who signed the winning ticket. Trusts and other non-person entities cannot claim prizes.

Due to a federal mandate, the Wyoming Lottery will automatically withhold 24% of any prizes $5,000 or over. However, depending on the prize amount and your tax bracket, more federal tax may be required, so winners must investigate their personal tax situation.

We will never share any player information publicly without explicit permission from the winner. Players can choose whether to remain anonymous, to share a small amount of information on WyoLotto’s social media, or to share information with local media for a press release. That said, everyone loves a win, and we want players to feel confident sharing their exciting story with us.
