Forrest “Frosty” Williams has lived in Wyoming since 1988 and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana.
He started his law enforcement career as a Detention Officer / Deputy Sheriff in Campbell County where he worked for the Sheriff’s Department for 5 years. In 1993 he was hired as an agent with the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation. During his 30-year career he was fortunate enough to serve in many different capacities and was appointed Director of the Division of Criminal Investigations in 2020.
He retired in May of 2023. Frosty and his wife Lanae currently reside in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He has one son that resides in Gillette, Wyoming and a daughter who resides in Helena, Montana.

- Served as a Board Member for the Wyoming Peace Officers Standard and Training Board
- Served as Board Member for the Rocky Mountain High Intensity Drug Trafficking comprising of Wyoming, Montana, Utah and Colorado
- Served as a Board Member for the Wyoming Public Safety Communication Commission
- Served as a Board Member for the Wyoming Law Enforcement Training Academy
