Wyoming Lottery IT Manager

The Wyoming Lottery Corporation is currently hiring the position of IT Manager. This person will report directly to our CEO and provide advanced level and lead work in support o f the information technology environment of the Wyoming Lottery. Work involves complex technical support and lead work in the following areas: personnel computer installation; help desk support; desktop administration; network administration; network operation and support; information technology training;, quality assurance; technical writing; security maintenance; social space; social space monitoring; website maintenance and updates; working and coordinating with outside vendors; internal controls and standard compliance; compliance with Lottery Industry standards, engaging support services with financial diligence; enhanced security measures that align with the Lottery gaming industry and compiling and presenting quality assurance and accountability reports.

Position will receive and document calls for assistance; analyze problems and devise solutions; set up and install work computers or workstations; setup and install peripheral hardware such as printers, modems and scanners; install and configures operating systems, applications and other software; install and troubleshoot server software; maintain network operating system; provide second level technical support in the use of application programs, network utilities and hardware devices; diagnose and resolve second level local area and wide area network problems; set up users and provide rights, access security and passwords.

Position will manage WyoLotto.com company website working with external vendor to ensure that the site is up and issues are dealt with immediately to minimize player inconvenience. Must have the ability to make updates to the site when needed. This position will develop internal controls, internal audit procedures, and ensure compliance. This position will conduct routine audits as instructed by the CEO and Industry Standard. This position may be have additional duties assigned at the CEOs direction. This position may conduct various QA and Compliance inspections for the CEO to ensure appropriate usage. Emergency 24/7 on-call status is required. Background and credit investigation and security clearance required for employment.

This person must be skilled in all levels of information technology and enjoy working within a small office environment that is mission and results driven, and community oriented. This IT Manager position must also have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and be able to work under pressure at times handling a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. The individual will have the ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, information technology management, vendor management, organizational
