Cody retailer sells winning Mega Millions ticket

The Wyoming Lottery Corporation today reported that one player won a total of $500 in the Mega Millions® drawing on Tues., Jan. 27. Albertsons, located at 1825 17th Street in Cody, sold the winning ticket on Jan. 24.

The winning numbers for the Jan. 13 Mega Millions drawing were 5, 26, 27, 44, 57 and 7. The Megaplier was 3x. So far, 193,843 WyoLotto players have won a total of $1,034,489 since the launch of the lottery in August 2014.

The jackpot for Mega Millions is now an estimated $32 million and the Powerball® jackpot is worth an estimated $261 million. Mega Millions tickets cost $1 for each play, plus $1 for the Megaplier. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 9 p.m. Ticket sales close at 8 p.m. Powerball tickets cost $2 for each play, plus an additional $1 for Power Play. Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 8:59 p.m. Ticket sales close at 7:59 p.m.
