Sept. 3, 2023 – One WyoLotto player is going to Nashville with $10,000 after being drawn as the winner of the “Experience of a Lifetime – Living Lucky with Luke Combs” giveaway. The winner was revealed by WyoLotto at the University of Wyoming vs. Texas Tech football game on Sept. 2 during an on-field presentation.

This once in a lifetime giveaway was run during July and August. Players entered by sending in KENO tickets during the promotional time period. Then one lucky winner was drawn for the prize package.

The winner, Jan Van Houten of Cheyenne, Wyo., is the lucky winner going to Nashville with $10,000 in her pocket.

“We were so excited to partner with other lotteries on this rare opportunity, and now we get to send Jan to Nashville. Plus, she now has a chance to win $500,000 at the concert,” said Jon Clontz, WyoLotto CEO.

“I have never won anything in my life. This is a dream come true. I just can’t believe I won, and I get to go to Nashville,” Van Houten said. She happened to be at Wyoming Downs with a friend and decided to play KENO because WyoLotto was hosting a KENO Party that day there. Van Houten said she had $3 on her, so she bought a couple KENO tickets and was able to spin the wheel for a prize. She was then able to enter her KENO tickets into the Luke Combs giveaway.

“I was super happy with the sweatshirt I won from the wheel, I can’t believe this led to me going to Nashville!” Van Houten added.

Van Houten, 73, is retired and said she will be taking her daughter, Stacey, as her guest to Nashville to see Luke Combs. “My daughter didn’t believe I was the winner at first, but then she found the information online and took time off of work right away so she could join me,” Van Houten said.

With three children in Colorado, Van Houten said she hopes she wins the $500,000 at the concert so she can give each of her children some money, and then she also wants to be able to make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The entire experience package, which takes place Feb. 4-7, 2024, includes:

  • $10,000
  • Two (2) tickets to an exclusive Luke Combs concert at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn.
  • Round trip airfare for two (2) from nearest major airport to Nashville, Tenn.
  • Three (3) nights at a hotel in downtown Nashville, Tenn.
  • Tour for two (2) at the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum
  • $500 in spending cash
  • Designated meals

The giveaway is a multi-state promotion in partnership with Luke Combs, one of country music’s most influential stars. Combs has won several awards for his talent, including Entertainer of the Year at the 55th Annual CMA Awards.
