The Wyoming Lottery Corporation proudly announced their first big winning ticket sold from their headquarters in downtown Cheyenne. One player won a total of $2,500 in the Mega Millions® drawing on Fri., Jan. 9 by buying a ticket inside WyoLotto’s vibrant blue and yellow lobby — complete with jumping “jackpotalopes” for good luck. Players are invited to visit WyoLotto’s headquarters for themselves at 1620 Central Ave Suite 100 in Cheyenne — and just maybe, they too can find a winning ticket.
The winning numbers for the Jan. 2 Mega Millions drawing were 37, 49, 50, 56, 57 and 8. The Megaplier was 5x. So far, 176,799 WyoLotto players have won a total of $913,547 since the launch of the lottery in August 2014.
The jackpot for Mega Millions is now an estimated $270 million and the Powerball® jackpot is worth an estimated $194 million. Mega Millions tickets cost $1 for each play, plus $1 for the Megaplier. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 9 p.m. Ticket sales close at 8 p.m. Powerball tickets cost $2 for each play, plus an additional $1 for Power Play. Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 8:59 p.m. Ticket sales close at 7:59 p.m.
