The Wyoming Lottery Corporation today announced its plans for a special halftime performance at the University of Wyoming homecoming game versus San Jose State at War Memorial Stadium on Oct. 18.
Along with the halftime entertainment, the Lottery will be unveiling the WyoLotto bus at tailgate parking spot #53 and selling lottery tickets, as well as offering fun games and prizes. Yolo, the Lottery’s bright yellow jackpotalope mascot, will also make an appearance.
“We are not releasing the specific details about the performance, except to hint that it involves a fast-paced, hilarious game with Yolo and Pistol Pete as the referees,” said Jon Clontz, the Wyoming Lottery’s CEO. “We are excited to provide some of the halftime entertainment to what is expected to be a packed house as the Cowboys take on the Spartans.”
The activities are part of the Wyoming Lottery’s three-year sponsorship of Wyoming’s #1 sporting event organization, the University of Wyoming Athletics. As part of its sponsorship this year, the Wyoming Lottery will hold promotional activities at three upcoming football games: San Jose State on Oct. 18, Utah State on Nov. 7 and Boise State on Nov. 22.
The lottery announced in August its decision to align the WyoLotto brand with the University of Wyoming Athletics, the state’s #1 sports franchise, through sponsorship.
Additionally the Wyoming Lottery Corporation is holding a football ticket giveaway in conjunction with University of Wyoming Athletics. The prize is a trip to see the University of Wyoming Cowboys play the Fresno State Bulldogs at Bulldog Stadium in Fresno, California on November 1. Gridiron Giveaway entries may be submitted online through October 19. A winner will be selected at random at 9 a.m. on October 20. The winner will be announced the following day.
