Sundance retailer sells winning Mega Millions ticket

The Wyoming Lottery Corporation today reported that one player won a total of $500 in the Mega Millions® drawing on Tuesday, Oct. 28. The Fresh Start store, located on 522 Cleveland in Sundance, sold the $500 winning ticket on Oct. 28.

So far 84,347 players have won a total of $418,296 since the launch of the lottery in Wyoming.

The jackpot for Mega Millions is now an estimated $284 million, the 11th largest in the history of this multistate game.  Mega Millions tickets cost $1 for each play, plus $1 for the Megaplier. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 9 p.m. Ticket sales close at 8 p.m. Winning numbers can be found at wyolotto.com or by calling toll free 1-855-995-6886 (855-WY-LOTTO). To find out if you have won, check your numbers online at wyolotto.com or take your ticket to any official WyoLotto retailer. The retailer will check your ticket by passing it under the machine. The retailer is authorized to pay up to $599 in prizes. Prizes over $600 must be processed through lottery headquarters in Cheyenne either in person or by mail. See wyolotto.com for details.
