Mega Millions Megapliers Mean Big Wins for WyoLotto Players

Wyoming has two more winners. In the May 12 Mega Millions® drawing, a lucky WyoLotto player bought a ticket and spent an extra $1 for the Megaplier which was 5X for the night.  That turned their initial $5,000 winnings into $25,000 after they matched four out of five numbers plus the Mega Ball number. The ticket was sold at Kelly’s Convenience Center located at 1652 9th Street in Rock Springs.

A second WyoLotto player matched four out of five numbers and, thanks to the extra $1 spent on the Megaplier, turned a winning $500 ticket into $2,500. The ticket was sold at Reese and Ray’s IGA located at 225 South 4th Street in Thermopolis.

The jackpot for Mega Millions is now an estimated $159 million. Mega Millions tickets cost $1 for each play, plus $1 for the Megaplier. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 9 p.m. Ticket sales close at 8 p.m.

The Powerball® jackpot has grown to an estimated $110 million. Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 8:59 p.m. Ticket sales close at 7:59 p.m.
WyoLotto players and retailers are seeing more Wyoming winners like these with Cowboy Draw, Wyoming’s own draw game, that launched on March 15. With the new game, the state will see more high-dollar winnings at WyoLotto retailers with jackpots starting at $250,000.

The winning numbers for the May 12 Mega Millions drawing were 14, 30, 33, 36, 44, and 2 with a Megaplier of 5x. So far, 392,596 WyoLotto players have won a total of $3,549,536 since the launch of the lottery in August 2014.
